PrEPConnect Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PrEPConnect ("the Platform," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Platform.

PrEPConnect is an online platform that connects students with tutors and educational resources for test preparation and academic support. We facilitate connections between users but do not directly provide tutoring services.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

  • You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • You must be at least 13 years of age to use this Platform (users under 18 require parental consent)
  • You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

3.2 Account Types

  • Students: Individuals seeking tutoring or educational services
  • Tutors: Qualified individuals offering educational services
  • Parents/Guardians: Adults managing accounts for minors

3.3 Account Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
  • You may not share your account with others
  • You may not create multiple accounts without authorization

4. User Conduct

4.1 Prohibited Activities

You agree NOT to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Transmit viruses, malware, or harmful code
  • Scrape, data mine, or extract user information
  • Use the Platform for any commercial purpose without authorization
  • Engage in any form of academic dishonesty

4.2 Content Standards

  • All content must be respectful and appropriate
  • No discriminatory, hateful, or offensive material

5. Tutor-Specific Terms

5.1 Qualifications

  • Tutors must provide accurate information about their qualifications
  • Tutors are responsible for the quality of their services
  • Tutors must comply with all applicable laws regarding education services

5.2 Independent Contractors

  • Tutors are independent contractors, not employees of PrEPConnect
  • PrEPConnect does not employ, recommend, or endorse any specific tutor
  • Tutors are responsible for their own taxes and legal obligations

5.3 Background Checks

  • We may require background checks for tutors
  • Tutors must disclose any relevant criminal history
  • We reserve the right to remove tutors who fail to meet our standards

6. Payments and Fees

6.1 Platform Fees

  • PrEPConnect may charge service fees for facilitating connections
  • All fees will be clearly disclosed before transactions
  • Fees are non-refundable except as required by law

6.2 Payment Processing

  • Payments are processed through secure third-party providers
  • Users must provide valid payment information
  • We are not responsible for payment processing errors by third parties

6.3 Refund Policy

11. Disclaimers

11.2 No Guarantee of Results

  • We do not guarantee specific educational outcomes
  • Test scores, grades, and admissions results are not guaranteed
  • Tutors' success claims are not endorsed by PrEPConnect

11.3 Third-Party Content

  • We are not responsible for third-party content or links
  • Third-party services have their own terms and policies

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PREPCONNECT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO PREPCONNECT IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PrEPConnect, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Platform
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any rights of another party
  • Your content or conduct on the Platform

14. Dispute Resolution

Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us to attempt informal resolution.

14.2 Arbitration

Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court, except where prohibited by law.
